We have been consulting for years and have been researchers and professors in the fields of academia, medical science, and applied  psychology for at least twenty years each. We are friends and colleagues and we love finding solutions and using our knowledge to help others achieve their goals.

Established in 2021

After years of individual consulting on our own, we decided to link up to create Synapse & Psyche. We hope to establish greater reach in corporate, nonprofit, academic, and medical circles. ​

Our Founder

Anna Garr, M.Sc., Ph.D.
​Founder & Consultant

Specialized in decision-making neuroscience and psychology, Dr. Garr has been a researcher, professor, and consultant for the past twenty years. She received training from R1 research institutes including Emory University, Vanderbilt University, and McGill University; was a professor of psychology and neuroscience at Belmont University; has consulted for non-profits and corporations; has conducted market research for a variety of industries; written and edited copy for marketing and publishing companies; and is a general public science writer and speaker. Passionate about applying science to the real world, Dr. Garr aims to help others use knowledge to improve their lives and achieve their goals.
